Copper Flotation at Neutral pH
Project No. :P1013 Status :Terminated
AMIRA : Mr Terry F Braden
Duration : 3 years

This project seeks to achieve pyrite depression at low pH. This will improve the recovery of mineral values in copper and polymetallic ore flotation circuits due to enhanced kinetics at low pH. Increased metal recoveries and a reduction in lime consumption using this process will result in improved economics for the flotation, as well as improved operational conditions since lime scaling associated with high lime dosages will be reduced in plant equipment. The study proposes to conduct both laboratory and plant scale trials to demonstrate the benefits of the proposed changes.
