The intention of project P1025 is to develop a common understanding of interoperability in the minerals industry, and in particular to deliver the following: A compilation and an analysis of the interoperability landscape, including: o Past and present interoperability initiatives, standards and architecture frameworks relevant to surface mining equipment o Organisations involved in developing and maintaining standards o Potential for reuse and lessons learnt from other industries. A set of guiding principles for improved interoperability Advice on how to progress the topic of interoperability in the minerals industry under the constraint of lower levels of investment compared with other industries.
